Winter is coming (that’s for all the GoT fans) and I’ve teamed up with Australia’s iconic shoemakers Sandler to share my favourites pairs from their new AW2016 season. Amazing, right?!
But there is even better news, they are giving YOU the chance to win a winter’s worth (six pairs) of shoes! Be still my beating heart.
Head over to Sandler’s Facebook or Instagram page for all the details on how to enter. It’s super easy.
It’s probably hard to believe, but as recently as the start of last year I didn’t consider myself a shoe person.
Bags? Yes. Jeans? Yes. Striped t-shirts? Hell yes! But shoes were something I struggled to get excited about.
Then I went on a nude shoe binge and now I’m Carrie Bradshaw on a cheaper budget — I even have a shoe cupboard in my kitchen (the whole one-bedroom apartment seemed like such a great idea at the time).
Last winter I bought a pair of navy ankle boots from Sandler and they became a firm favourite.
They went with almost everything in my wardrobe, from jeans to dresses and they were so comfortable I could wear them all day at work (even during mad shopping dashes around the city at lunchtime).
So I was beyond excited when the fine folks at Sandler asked if I’d been keen to feature my favourites shoes from their new Winter collection on What Brooke Wore.
It turns out I will literally work for shoes.
After much deliberation, I chose my top five and was pretty damn excited when four of them turned up at my door last Friday :
- A flat taupe ankle boot
- A black suede ankle boot with a low heel and tassel detail
- Navy ankle boots with low heel (these are the same as the ones I have from last year)
- Tan suede loafers
- A flat black ankle boot.
I’ve put together some great, easy to replicate looks to show how I’ll be wearing them this Autumn/Winter (thank god for air-conditioning because it’s still 30C in Brisbane!).

Editor’s note: While I was gifted these shoes by Sandler, all opinions expressed are my own. I’ll only share something if I love it and think you will too!
Love all the looks here you’ve put together. Especially the dress and boot combos.

Thanks Sharon! I love dresses with boots, mostly because there is less chance I’ll fall out of my shoe and flash my undies at everyone! This will be my go-to look for A/W. X

The blue ones are super cool and sometimes I feel black boots can be too heavy a look with my dresses or jeans so they’re a great option.
I do loooove that skirt… It has a matching top and I wore them both to a restaurant/bar called Blackbird last year … They should have given me a free cocktail for being their unofficial mascot for the evening 🙂 xx
