Welcome to my bucket list

In the lead up to my 30th birthday in June, I set myself the task of writing a bucket list. It was kind of a birthday present to myself because I realised had 365 days which I could use wisely, wildly or waste.

To call on that old cliche ‘time flies when you’re having fun’, I thought it was time to get off my couch and start doing the things I have always dreamt of and lusted after…

A birthday girl on a mission.

There was no method to my madness; I simply started writing down all the things I’d seen, heard or read about and wanted to experience for myself.

A little research (aka googling) revealed that the essence of any good bucket list consists of overcoming fears, achieving goals, realizing dreams and even simple pleasures.

The first few came easily (courtesy of gift certificates stuck to my fridge)…

Trapeze lesson
Surfing lesson
BBQ cooking course

But what I found was that when I really started thinking about the cool and kooky things I’d like to do, the list rapidly grew.
